Da beach part 1.

One of my goals this weekend was to do a step by step food blog post, like all of my fav foodie blogs do, catching all of those lovely cooking instructions with equally lovely photos. Let’s just say I fell extremely short of my goal.
Trying to take photographs for each step was a total and annoying disaster. I really disliked stopping to set everything up for a picture, especially since I cook fast and messy. I always pull a recipe and think how great it’ll be to take the time and enjoy the baking process, then I find myself getting bothered and just blow through it all as quick as possible. This recipe was no different – and no matter how much I slowed down and I set it all up, the pictures just didn’t look right.
Speaking of pictures, most of them did not turn out very well, no matter how hard I gussied them up with my cool retro overlays or vintage tints, which usually do the trick š I’ll stick with posting a pic of the final product and leave the food blogging to the real food bloggers.
My new iphone has turned me into a total photography nut. I’ve always liked to take pictures but so few ever came out lookin fly and forget learning photoshop….ugh. In comes Instagram and Camera+ two of my new fav photo programs on my phone. I simply take a picture then jazz it all up with a few swipes of my finger. I’m obsessed. Seriously obsessed. These programs can take a plain, boring pic and make it look like a million bucks. But what to do with all of these totally awesome pics I ask myself? Well, I’ve found my answer (see links below). Picture books, magnets, oh my! Now I’ve gotten get really serious in my picture taking so I can create an entire album!

Made a quick stop in Tacoma to have dinner with a friend on the way home from the ocean. Couldn’t resist taking a few iphone photos of this and jazzin’ em up on Camera+. Ocean pics to follow, though the weather was so horrible it was hard to really take any. Sideways rain and gale force winds were not the conditions I was hoping for…..
