Insta-Holiday

Just thought I would share a few highlights from the recent holiday festivities! It was great having some time off to celebrate with the fam, but I’m ready to get back to work and get our Luncheon on the move! This will be my third major event for the agency which would usually mean a cake walk but I’ve got some unique challenges to face in the coming months – gotta keep me on my toes! Watch out May 8th…I’m comin’ for yah.

Oh and hey, wedding, yeah you….the one on November 15th…..you’re not off the hook either. I’m comin’ for yah too – candles, orchids and cranes blazin’!

I was debating about putting up decorations this year. It seemed like too much work for mid-December being right around the corner. But the holiday spirit in me just wouldn’t shut up so our faux tree went up over the weekend in between baking projects. I must say, I’m glad I did. It makes our little condo nice and festive, especially with help from the menorah – gotta represent both sides!

Holidays – Sugiura Style

Kicked off the holiday week with a Sugiura family holiday party, which is always Asian-themed. Always. Pot stickers, sushi, salmon balls, fresh spring rolls, teriyaki chicken……the list goes on and on. Once again, Cindy out did herself! It’s always nice to get away from the traditional holiday treats for a minute and change it up (no worries, we’ll get back on the holiday treat train for Christmas!)

Holidays

After a smattering of snow this past week, I got WAY too into the holiday spirit. I think it was all of the sitting around indoors trying to stay warm and hoping my garden was going to make it through the deep freeze! Those poor plants! Ran a few errands on Black Friday to pick up the last few decorations and then it was on. Cork wreath – check. Disco Christmas Tree – check. Smelly holiday candles – ewww, gross. Pointsettas – check. Can’t wait for our Ugly Holiday Sweater Party!
