My backyard has been treating us to all sorts of delights lately! These beauties were tucked away in a far back corner of the yard and I almost didn’t see them because they were bent over due to their weight. Shame on me for not staking them up properly. I saved what I could and will def post ’em up for next year. Man, gotta love a mature, Seattle yard!
I hit the trails for the second weekend in a row, this time with my sister and aunt. I’m officially a cross country addict people! As you can see, when sis and I are together, photo ops take priority 🙂
For those of you familiar with Snoqualmie Pass, we went about 3/4 of the way around one side of “Stump Lake.” This was more of a traditional trail with fewer hills which actually made it seem harder. It was a constant go go go vs. the ups and downs of last weekend’s trip. Besides one lunch break, we were on our skis for over 3.5 hours. I must admit, I was not lovin the last 30 minutes of it, but we powered through!
Unfortunately, cross country will not be in the cards for this weekend but I do hope to go one more time. I’m also scouring the Internet for a nicely discounted pair o skis so I’ll be ready to roll come next winter!
