Sonicsgate Webby Winners!

The Sonicsgate crew attended the 14th Annual Webby Awards Gala in NYC last night to collect their award for ‘Best Sports Film.’ Each winner was allowed a 5-word speech and it was pretty obvious what theirs was going to be. The surprise was with who delivered it……see the speech below!

Of course I was way jealous to see all of those celebs in attendance, especially when the BF texted me that he saw Lisa Kudrow and Jason Bateman. Dang!

Da Deck

Our little deck is in pretty bad shape – paint chips, scratches – it’s a total mess. Decided it was time to tackle that project since we’re gearing up for summer. I love sitting outside, but I hated looking at that deck. Spent a few days pressure washing, scraping and sanding it then got a lucky break in the weather and was able to stain it with a solid stain (looks like paint, but stains like stain, if that makes sense). Now I can fully enjoy my outdoor space without having to look at that eye sore of a deck! Hurray!

More garden pics….

I just can’t get enough of this gardening business! The plants have finally started to take root and many are doing really well, despite the regular trampling from my dog Stella. I swear, that dog has sat, ran and dug into every plant in the yard! I’ve begun moving the more fragile plants away from the borders in hopes to save them. We’ll see if that helps…..

Had my first garden party with my work peeps the other week. Recieved many fabulous garden accessories, including this guy above. Who doesn’t love a garden gnome?

Photo: My shade bed is doing the best out of all of them. Who would have thought….

Photo: The container plants are surviving despite the endless rain.

Photo: And my spring (?) cactus is finally blooming after much babying under a grow light. So pretty…….

This is what I ate.

We planned on sushi and ended up at Korean BBQ (thanks to Kiki.) Pretty intense stuff…..I haven’t eaten that much red meat in a very long time – cool experience though. Who doesn’t love grillin’ up their own dinner?
