Photo bananza!

My new iphone has turned me into a total photography nut. I’ve always liked to take pictures but so few ever came out lookin fly and forget learning photoshop….ugh. In comes Instagram and Camera+ two of my new fav photo programs on my phone. I simply take a picture then jazz it all up with a few swipes of my finger. I’m obsessed. Seriously obsessed. These programs can take a plain, boring pic and make it look like a million bucks. But what to do with all of these totally awesome pics I ask myself? Well, I’ve found my answer (see links below). Picture books, magnets, oh my! Now I’ve gotten get really serious in my picture taking so I can create an entire album!

February Photo a Day Challenge

K, so I’m a bit late to the game on this one but I HAVE to participate since February is my all time, most favoritest, bestest month ever. Ever. Not only does Valentine’s Day fall in this month, but MY birthday does too along with both of my grandfathers birthdays. It’s always been a month of celebration and fun and I have many fond memories that have been made in the 28 (or 29) days of this month. I’ve got a bit of catching up to do…..pics to come shortly!

Pin time!

With the snow keeping me homebound, I figured it was time to start working on a few of my Pinterest projects with a focus on my fav holiday – Valentine’s Day! Made these cute yarn hearts that will go in my windows and ANOTHER yarn wreath (I was going with the supplies I had people!) You would think that with this much yarn I could actually knit or something….ha!

All Hallows

Spent last night at our annual All Hallows Eve party at Chateau Ste. Michelle. I was a decorating committee of one and it took me two days to spookify the place. We had a creepy candy bar (my pride and joy!) as well as a killer appetizer buffet, dancing and a DJ. It was a big change from previous years parties where we did 6 course served dinners, but I think guests really enjoyed themselves. Wish I could have captured more because it was so freakin’ cool! Oh well, that’s what happens when you work!

She’s crafty

Hello, my name is Leslie and I’m a newly created craft-a-holic. Michael’s, JoAnne’s….beware. I’m coming for you and all of your lovely craft supplies. I’ve always loved a good craft here and there, but lately it’s become an obsession. Ummm, do you see my dining room table/craft table below? It’s out of control.

Kept coming across these yard wreaths on Pinterest and they really appealed to me so I goggled them, found a tutorial and got to work. I actually had all of the supplies on hand minus the felt for the flowers (hence the deadily trip to JoAnne’s at 8pm last night). It actually came together pretty easily – maybe 30 minutes to wrap the wreath then another 30 dinking around with the felt flowers. Now that I know I can do it, it’s on to other themed ones – I’m thinking a halloween one, perhaps a Valentine’s Day one….the list goes on and on!

I’ve also got a drift wood hanging thingy in the works for outside (gotta come up with a better name for that….) as well as some other spooky things. I’ll share them with you soon!
